- Advertiser allowlist
- Publishers control exactly which advertisers (and individual offers) can render through their AffilFinder widget. Brand and compliance stay in the publisher’s hands.
- Allowlist
- The list of countries or regions where a publisher’s product is available. Visitors from allowlisted regions see the normal page; everyone else sees the AffilFinder overlay.
- Blocked traffic
- Visitors who land on a publisher’s site but cannot access the requested content because they’re outside the licensed service area. Without monetization this traffic is wasted; with AffilFinder it generates pay-per-click revenue.
- Blocklist
- The inverse of an allowlist — countries or regions explicitly disallowed. Useful when most regions are open and only a small set is blocked.
- Cost per acquisition (CPA)
- Advertisers pay only when a referred visitor completes a target action (signup, deposit, purchase). Often combined with PPC on AffilFinder via custom advertiser offers.
- Decline overlay
- The widget shown to a blocked visitor in place of a static “not available” page. The overlay surfaces a relevant sponsored offer and links the visitor through to the advertiser.
- Event pipeline
- AffilFinder logs four lifecycle events per visitor — blocked, served, impression, click — feeding analytics, billing reconciliation, and advertiser reporting.
- Geo-blocking
- Restricting access to a website, page, or feature based on a visitor’s detected country or region. Common in iGaming, finance, streaming, and any product subject to territorial licensing.
- Geo-detection
- Determining a visitor’s country (and optionally region) from their IP address and request signals. AffilFinder resolves geo at the edge for low-latency decisions.
- Geo-gating
- Showing or hiding content based on the visitor’s region — the broader category that includes geo-blocking. AffilFinder geo-gates a sponsored offer overlay so only out-of-area visitors see it.
- KYC decline
- When a visitor fails Know-Your-Customer verification (age, identity, residency) and is rejected by the publisher. AffilFinder treats KYC declines as monetizable blocked traffic.
- Offer
- An advertiser-defined campaign with creatives, geo targeting, payout model, and a destination URL. Eligible offers are matched to blocked visitors and shown in the overlay.
- Pay per click (PPC)
- A pricing model where publishers earn revenue every time a visitor clicks through to an advertiser. AffilFinder publishers are paid per click forwarded from the decline overlay.
- Widget
- AffilFinder’s embeddable script and UI surface. Drop one async script tag on any page and AffilFinder handles geo detection, offer matching, and click tracking.
