What this tool detects
- HTTP 451 Unavailable for Legal Reasons — explicit legal geo-block.
- HTTP 403 Forbidden with geo-block context (redirect to a country picker, “region not available” body).
- Redirects to a different host, locale, or region path (e.g.
/blocked,/unavailable). - Page-body keywords like “not available in your region”, “geo-restricted”, “sorry, this site is not available in your country”.
- Cloudflare / Akamai / Fastly geo-block challenge pages served at the edge.
What it can’t detect
JS-only geo-gates that render only after client execution (e.g. an SPA that geo-checks via XHR) won’t always trip a server-side check. For those cases, run the URL through a headless browser or simply test from a residential IP in the target country.
